Job DescriptionThe Clinical Specialist plays a critical role in delivering exceptional clinical and technical support to electrophysiologists and medical staff - the only non-invasive digital mapping system. This individual acts as the primary technical resource inside the EP lab and clinic, driving product adoption, managing workflows, and ensuring overall customer success in Boston.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Case Support
- Provide live, expert technical guidance to physicians and lab staff during electrophysiology mapping procedures.
- Assist in the onboarding of new clinical sites through introductory sessions, workflow building, and hands-on training.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues efficiently in high-pressure lab environments.
- Manage system updates, regional maintenance, and local trial case schedules.
Commercial Collaboration & Growth
- Partner closely with the regional sales team to identify new clinical opportunities and coordinate field execution.
- Build strong, lasting relationships with electrophysiologists, clinical managers, and hospital administrators.
- Gather clinical feedback and structured product insights from Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to report back to engineering and product teams.
Training & Research Support
- Conduct ongoing clinical education programs for clinical personnel on the safe and effective use of the mapping platform.
- Support internal clinical trials and regional research initiatives by ensuring highly accurate procedural data capture.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering, Life Sciences, Nursing, or equivalent professional clinical experience.
- Technical Aptitude: Comfort navigating complex software platforms and mapping systems.
- Travel: Willingness to travel 10%
- Clearance: Must pass industry-standard vendor credentialing and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years in medical device clinical support, specifically in a cardiac EP lab or catheterization lab.
- Domain Knowledge: Strong baseline understanding of 3D cardiac mapping systems or CRM devices.
- Certification: IBHRE Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS) credential is highly desirable.
